Welcome to the Equine Veterinary Clinic

The Equine Veterinary Clinic is a horse veterinary practice dedicated to meeting the needs of horses and their owners in West and Central Scotland.  We are located in Houston, just 20 minutes west of Glasgow.  We strive to provide the highest standards of medical, surgical and reproductive care to your horse.

The practice was founded in 2000 and was the first purely equine veterinary practice in Scotland.  Demand for dedicated equine veterinary care has meant that the practice now employs four full time equine veterinary surgeons, three nursing staff and a receptionist. 

We provide a complete ambulatory service where we visit your horse for routine procedures, such as vaccinations and dental care, examination of illness or lameness, castrates and emergency treatments.  The practice also has full hospitalisation facilities where we conduct more detailed diagnostic investigations perform surgical procedures and reproductive services.  There is accommodation for 12 horses, a fully equiped surgical theatre and the latest diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
